In the news: Interview with That's Oxfordshire
The Creative Multilingualism programme will be working with a variety of partners to reach our objectives of making Modern Languages more visible, valued and vibrant. One of these partners is Oxford Spires Academy, a multi-cultural and multilingual school in East Oxford which is a centre of excellence for Creative Writing.
The Poetry Hub, run by Kate Clanchy, Writer in Residence at Oxford Spires Academy, will be working together with researchers from the Prismatic Translation project to hold study days and writing workshops with poets in the school's home languages to explore the interplay between translation and creativity and to encourage pupils to produce their own creative, prismatic translations and poems.
That’s Oxfordshire, a local news channel, interviewed Professor Katrin Kohl, Principal Investigator of Creative Multilingualism, Kate Clanchy, and Mukahang Limbu (15), a Nepalese pupil at Oxford Spires Academy. Mukahang is currently doing his GCSEs but entered early for an A Level in Creative Writing and achieved an A*. Watch the interview below to find out more about the programme.
