English PEN is the founding centre of a global literary network and a founding member of the Free Word Centre. They work to defend and promote freedom of expression, and to remove barriers to literature.
Creative Multilingualism is a theme in much of English PEN's work - from translation outreach projects to crowd-sourced translations of poems by Cameroonian activist Enoh Meyomesse. English PEN will work with Creative Multilingualism in a series of co-designed workshops and events, conceived specifically to promote and enhance understanding of writing across languages.
