BirdLife International is the world's largest nature conservation Partnership, with a global network of over 2.7 million members across 120 countries. It is a community driven by the belief that local people, working for nature in their own places, but connected nationally and internationally, are key to sustaining life on this planet. At the grassroots, the Partnership supports approximately 2,700 Local Conservation Groups. One of the key challenges BirdLife faces is the complex multicultural and multilingual environment in which contemporary bio-cultural conservation takes place.
The partnership with BirdLife will allow Creative Multilingualism access to a Birdlife's network and support for the mainstreaming of linguistic knowledge into conservation activities across Birdlife conservations programmes at global, national, and local levels.
