A Million Welcomes
Pop-up placards welcome our visitors, inviting you to take part in the art on offer and to contribute to the cultural life of the city.
As our cities grow with visitors from many different places and backgrounds, it is important to remind everyone that civic engagement is a necessity, not a choice. We invite people from all over to get stuck into art and culture. If you do ‒ and connect profoundly with someone from a different land ‒ then we can truly say we are a city of a million welcomes.
A Million Welcomes is an initiative by Redhawk Logistica in collaboration with Slanguages, a project investigating the interconnection between linguistic diversity and creativity, led by Professor Rajinder Dudrah at Birmingham City University. Find out more and see the accompanying exhibition at Cafe Artum, 177 Corporation Street, B4 6RG.
